The Bleeding Disorders Council of California joins the Hemophilia Foundation of Southern California and the entire bleeding disorders community in mourning the loss of Dr. Carol Kasper, a pioneering hematologist and unwavering advocate. Dr. Kasper’s legacy spans more than four decades of groundbreaking work in the diagnosis and treatment of hemophilia, advancing care and improving the lives of patients across the globe.

Her leadership, including roles with the World Federation of Hemophilia, National Hemophilia Foundation, and HFSC’s Medical Advisory Board, helped shape the field as we know it today. A tireless researcher, educator, and mentor, Dr. Kasper was also a powerful voice in recognizing the experiences of women and carriers in the bleeding disorders community.

We honor Dr. Kasper’s extraordinary life, her profound contributions, and the lasting impact she leaves behind. Her legacy will continue to inspire and guide us for generations to come.
