Overcoming Barriers to Care in the ER

Do you find it challenging to access care at emergency rooms in your area? Perhaps they do not have treatments available for your bleeding disorder? This is an issue that often affects you in rural areas, but it can be a challenge in cities, as well.

In this webinar, you will hear our speaker Sarah Tomlinson, MD, a specialist in pediatric emergency medicine whose husband has a bleeding disorder.  She will give tips for your next ER visit on what to bring and how to interact with ER staff.  Using her advice, you can ensure the best possible outcomes when you need emergency care.  Dr. Tomlinson will tailor her advice to people with bleeding disorders and other rare diseases. Why? Our conditions and treatments are not always familiar to ER providers. That’s why it’s important to give those providers the information they need so we can get the care WE need.
